1. Will we have time to sightsee while we’re in Orlando?

Yes! After the conference concludes Saturday evening, you’ll have time to see the town. And Sunday would be a perfect day to sightsee!

2. What is the best way to get from the airport to the conference hotel?

There are several transportation options available from Orlando International Airport to the conference hotel:

  • Taxi: approximately $52–$68
  • Shuttle van: approximately $22–$37 per person
  • Uber: approximately $76–$97
  • Lyft: fares vary based on demand and availability

3. Are any meals included?

Yes! Your registration includes a hot breakfast (for hotel guests) and a boxed lunch. What’s Included.

4. Where can we eat and not spend a fortune?

You’re also within walking distance of several restaurants. If you take a rental car, Uber, or Lyft, there are hundreds of nearby restaurants of all prices ranges.

5. Can I change the names of our registrants if someone can’t make it?

Yes. You can change names anytime. Email conferences@asgaonline.com.

6. Does the conference hotel offer transportation to attractions?

Yes! The conference hotel offers a complimentary shuttle service to all four Disney parks, as well as SeaWorld and Universal Studios. Please contact the hotel directly for the current shuttle schedule.

7. Can you help me find a roommate at the conference hotel?

Yes! Email conferences@asgaonline.com with your name, gender, email, arrival/departure dates, and any special requests.

8. Will I need a rental car?

Maybe. If you plan to tour Orlando, you might need to get a rental car. The hotel does have a free shuttle to Disney, Universal, and Sea World. Uber/Lyft are plentiful and cheap.

9. Is parking available?

The hotel offers free parking if you are staying there. For others, there is a $17 parking fee. See Travel.

10. Do I have to be an ASGA member to attend?

No! Non-member schools are always welcome. However, ASGA members save $100 per person. Annual dues start at $397 for schools under 4,000 students. If you’re bringing four or more people, membership pays for itself immediately. See Join ASGA.

11. What types and sizes of schools attend?

All types and sizes, including public universities, private colleges, community colleges, religious institutions, and more. Usually 140-200 students and administrators from 20-30  institutions attend, representing 10-15 states.

12. What’s included in the registration fee?

20 workshops and roundtables, all handouts, a boxed lunch, hot breakfast for hotel guests, and a completion-of-training certificate for each attendee. See What’s Included.

13. How should we dress?

Saturday: Business or Business Casual   Sunday: Casual

14. Can I see the schedule and workshops in advance?

Yes! See the full Conference Schedule. Updated regularly.

15. Is Internet free at the conference hotel?

Yes! ASGA arranged complimentary Wi-Fi for all guests in the ASGA block (normally $14.95/day).

16. Do you have any discounts?

Yes! The earlier you register, the less the cost. ASGA members save an additional $100/person. If your budget is tight, contact us. We want every SGA to get the training they need and will work something out. Email conferences@asgaonline.com.

17. What should I bring?

Business attire for Saturday, casual for the weekend, a light layer (rooms can be cool), an umbrella (Orlando is unpredictable), comfortable walking shoes, your SG business cards and brochures for the SG Exchange, and a notebook. See the full Conference Checklist.

18. Can I get an invoice or receipt for our school’s budget?

Yes! ASGA can send an invoice, accept a purchase order, or provide a receipt after payment. Email conferences@asgaonline.com or call 352-373-6907.

19. How do I get approval from my institution to attend?

ASGA has sample materials to help. Download the “Why Attend?” flier to share with your advisor or dean. You can also download a sample excuse letter for professors and a sample press release for your campus.

20. What if I need to cancel?

All cancellations must be in writing. Refunds are given for cancellations received eight weeks before the conference, less a $75 processing fee per person. No refunds after that date — but ASGA will issue a full credit toward future attendance if you notify us in writing at least 48 hours before the event. Name changes to your registration can be made at any time. See Register for full policy.
